Get your trash bags ready, because this March Forsyth County is going to clean up its roadways as part of the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup.
According to a Forsyth County press release, on Saturday, March 16, an organized team of volunteers will meet at the Central Park Recreation Center in north Forsyth before heading out onto the county’s roadways to remove litter.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for residents, community organizations, families, businesses or clubs to really make a positive impact on our community,” Tammy Wright, environmental program manager, said in the release. “It is always great to see the community come together for events such as this to help make our county be the best it can be.”
Volunteers with pickup trucks are needed to help collect trash from the various clean-up locations during the event.
