An intersection in northern Forsyth County is set to be replaced with a roundabout, and a traffic shift this weekend will realign roads in preparation of the project.
The intersection of Settingdown and Martin roads will be temporarily shifted starting on Sunday, Nov. 18 to realign both roads for a temporary intersection. During work, the roads will be intermittently closed.
During the closure, traffic will be routed to a gravel surface and signage will be posted to let drivers know about the change.
Work on the traffic shift expected to be done by Sunday, Nov, 25. The temporary intersection will be there until the proposed roundabout can handle traffic. The new traffic pattern is expected to open on Monday, Nov. 26, weather permitting.
