Three members of Forsyth County’s state legislative delegation plan to hold town hall meetings next week to review the recent session.

The meetings are scheduled for Tuesday at the Forsyth Senior Services Center and Thursday at the Three Chimneys Farm Clubhouse.

Both sessions, which are open to the public and don’t require reservations, will last from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The meetings will include brief remarks on the 2012 session from District 27 state Sen. Jack Murphy, District 23 state Rep. Mark Hamilton and District 24 state Rep. Mike Dudgeon. The lawmakers, all Republicans, will then field questions.

Among the topics they likely will cover are tax and criminal justice reform, charter schools, zero-based budgeting and job creation.

“We as a delegation want to provide opportunities for open dialog with our constituents to discuss the issues that we deal with and vote on in Georgia that affect all of us who live in Forsyth County,” Hamilton said.
