GAINESVILLE -- A car towed a trailer across Boling Bridge as a helicopter hovered on the other side of the green beams filming the action for the upcoming movie “Goosebumps,” based on the R.L. Stine youth fiction series and featuring Jack Black.

The movie’s plot includes the author’s imaginary demons being set free on a town in Maryland, according to the Internet Movie Database. Hollywood studios often film in Georgia because of tax incentives, even if a movie is set elsewhere.

Dawsonville Highway was closed intermittently along stretches including Boling Bridge at the Hall County line and the Jerry Jackson Bridge in Gainesville as the car traveled multiple times across the bridge one way and then the other.
