State Sen. Jack Murphy of Cumming and Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle of Gainesville welcomed Pastor Keith W. Oglesby to serve as the chaplain of the day on Monday in the Georgia State Senate.
Oglesby has served as rector at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Cumming since July 2009.
An Atlanta native, Oglesby had a 24-year business career in sales and management before his call to the ministry. He graduated from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in 2007 and served his first two years in the ministry at St. Aidan’s in Alpharetta before becoming rector at Holy Spirit.
Oglesby has been married to his wife, Lynn, for more than 33 years. They have three children.
