FORSYTH COUNTY -- Six Forsyth County-based nonprofits recently received $1,000 grants from Wells Fargo.

Bank team members in Forsyth raised the money through the Days of Giving program, which allows them to honor groups helping their local communities.

The local groups, which accepted their donations during a community breakfast Nov. 13 at the Alpharetta Athletic Club, included:
* Abba House
* Casa of Forsyth County
* Next Generation Focus Incorporated
* No Longer Bound
* Partners Against Domestic Violence
* The Place of Forsyth

Supporting Adoption and Foster Families Together of DeKalb County also received a check.

Brad McDaniel, district manager for Wells Fargo, praised “the collective work of these seven non-profits [which] makes a huge impact in our communities.”

“Our community has a variety of needs and we are honored to support these groups in their efforts to change Forsyth County for the better, one step at a time,” he said in a statement. “There is no one-size-fits-all solution to the challenges in our community. Days of Giving allows us to help many local groups and we know that Forsyth County will directly benefit from these grants.”

Including this year, Wells Fargo has given more than $2.1 million in Days of Giving grants alone to groups across Georgia since the program began five years ago.
