WEST FORSYTH — Two Forsyth County teenagers are holding a pageant Saturday to benefit a family affected by cancer.

Set for 12:30 p.m. at the Polo Golf and Country Club, the Miss Southern Sweetheart of Forsyth County Jr. is being organized by Caleb Mathis and Caroline Puri.

It will raise funds for a family who recently lost a loved one to cancer. The family is friends with Mathis’ family.

“They have contestants coming and competing in this pageant and they’re learning a lot about business and putting on event,” said Jennifer Abernathy, Puri’s mother. “They will be presenting the family with a check of money that they have raised to help them.”

Admission to the event is $5, and free for children. The Polo Club is at 6300 Polo Club Drive.
