Forsyth Countys parks department offering spring break camps
Forsyth

FORSYTH COUNTY — For those who aren’t planning on leaving town for spring break, Forsyth County’s parks and recreation department will be offering several camps.

Laura Pate, marketing and community relations manager for the department, said camps the week of April 4-8 will give kids an opportunity to get out of the house.

“It’s a fun activity to do while they’re out of school. It gives them something that they can go and be active,” Pate said. “Kids can just play with other children and come to the park and enjoy the nice weather.”

Camp offerings range from educational to more active.

“We have a gymnastics camp. We have an art camp,” Pate said. “We have science camp, and then we also have some outdoor and tree-climbing clinics.  ”

Pate said registration is open, but spots will fill up quickly.

“They can come and register in person at one of our recreation centers — Central Park, Old Atlanta Park or Fowler Park,” she said. “They can also register online.”
