Girl Scouts in Forsyth aid Meals by Grace

WEST FORSYTH — While earning their Girl Scout Bronze Award, the members of Troop 11806 filled 72 reusable bags with more than 2,000 food items collected over several weeks for Meals by Grace, a nonprofit dedicated to helping children and families in Forsyth County battle food insecurity.

The bags will feed 125 children for one week over the summer.

The troop, all fifth-graders from Kelly Mill and Sawnee elementary schools, includes: Saniya Bhardwaj, Cameron Brumby, Clara Helen Butler, Jade McConnell, Lauren McConnell, Maia Norman, Samantha Nurmi and Anna Schnarr.

They are led by Sara McConnell and Janna Brumby.
