Night of family fun for North cluster

What: A street-style festival for the cluster of North Forsyth elementary, middle and high school families. There will be food trucks, bouncy houses, game trucks, carnival games, choral and band performances, information tables for the cluster’s pathway areas and more.

When: Thursday, March 21, from 6-8 p.m.

Where: North Forsyth High School, at 3635 Coal Mountain Drive in Cumming.

Cost: Free entry.

Family Fun Day Fundraiser for the Green family

What: The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, along with its B.A.D.G.E. program, and Mission Overwatch are raising money for Drue Green, the FCSO detective who recently had a liver transplant. There will be a touch-a-truck, K9 demonstration, cook-off, music, games, bouncy house, face painting, petting zoo and more.

When: Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Cumming Fairgrounds, at 235 Castleberry Road in Cumming.

Cost: Free entry, while 100 percent of funds raised go to the Green family to help with medical costs.

17th annual Forsyth Senior Expo

What: The popular event is an opportunity for seniors, their families, friends and caregivers to meet local businesses and service providers and learn about what is available in Forsyth County to meet their needs. Featuring free health screenings, free refreshments and multiple chances to win door prizes.

When: Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Forsyth Conference Center, at 3410 Ronald Reagan Boulevard in Cumming.

Cost: Free entry.

Festival of color

What: The 14th annual color festival Holi Hai, a Hindu spring festival that celebrates the coming of spring, will be held in Forsyth County for the first time. The family-friendly event is known for participants throwing rainbow-colored powder during live musical performances. This year’s event features music by DJ Shaan, desi food, dance and masti and a kids play zone.

When: Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Atlanta Cricket Field, at 5325 Keith Bridge Road in Cumming.

Cost: Free entry.
