Next week, a south Forsyth park will host a free event for kids and families.

On Saturday, Sept. 30, Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department and the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce will host the 15th annual Play at the Park Family Fun Festival at Fowler Park between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.

“Our annual Play at the Park event is always a great opportunity for families to spend time together for a day of fun,” Parks and Recreation Director Jim Pryor said. “There will be plenty of exciting activities for everyone to enjoy, and we are looking forward to another great turnout.”

Tethered hot air balloon rides, one of the most popular features of the festival, will be given from 1-8 p.m., weather permitting.

The festival will have several activates for all ages, including inflatables, food trucks, a petting zoo, music, animal adoptions and business, community and shopping vendors.

Vendors and family entertainment will be there 11 a.m.-6 p.m., and food trucks will be at the park 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Fowler Park is located at 4110 Carolene Way. More information is available at
