SOUTH FORSYTH — The public is invited to check out artwork by seniors later this week.

A free art show and demonstrations will be offered from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Sexton Hall Enrichment Center, 2115 Chloe Road in south Forsyth.

“Our art instructors who teach classes through Forsyth County Senior Services will be there doing demonstrations, and our seniors who have taken classes will have their work on display,” said Valerie Rhoads, senior services manager. “All the work will also be for sale.”

Rhoads said the show will feature a range of artistic pieces, including drawings, paintings, pottery and jewelry.

“I think people will be surprised by the quality of the work,” she said. “We have some very talented seniors in Forsyth County.”
