CUMMING- A boil water advisory that had been in place for residents living along Pilgrim Mill Road, Freedom Parkway after a 10-inch water main broke on Tuesday has been lifted.
Cumming utilities director Jon Heard said that tests on the water system have been completed, and the water is safe to drink. "All of the tests came back showing the water to be safe, so we've lifted the advisory" said Heard.

The order caused a number of restaurants along Keith Bridge road from Ga. 400 all the way to Hammond's Crossing to close their doors, since they did not have a safe water supply. All of the restaurants can now-re-open.
