From a 1929 Ford to brand-new Corvettes, the Cumming Fairgrounds will be packed Saturday with some of the past century’s hottest trends on four wheels.

The 18th annual Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Auto Crusade will feature nearly 200 cars.

"We normally have around 3-, 4- or 5,000 spectators walk through," said Danny Bearden, event organizer. "… It’s good, clean fun and we have a lot of people that return year after year."

In addition to cars, there will be games, door prizes, food and homemade ice cream. There will also be motorcycles, a feature that was added last year.

Bearden hopes the weather will cooperate. But if Hurricane Irene were to pass through this weekend, organizers would reschedule the event for September.

Cost to register a vehicle is $25. Sign-ups begin at 8 a.m. Proceeds go to the church’s youth programs and other efforts.

"It’s a nonprofit thing, so we take the money and help people out that are in need," he said.

The show, which is free to attend, will run from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m., with an awards presentation at 3 p.m.
