Forsyth County News
Most of the items on the agenda for Thursday's Forsyth County commission meeting were postponed.

Chairman Charles Laughinghouse was absent due to family medical issues.

Of those matters that did garner consideration, the board voted to approve the following:

• Lease contract between the county and L. Lee Dailey and Thomas J. Smith for property on the Harrison tract, a parcel the county bought last year. The county will lease the property back to executors Dailey and Smith to give them time to move residents off the land.

• Agreement between the county and Three Chimeys Farm Homeowners Association for landscape, lighting and retaining wall enhancements and approving $50,000 as part of a previous contract between the two parties. Money comes from the county's contingency fund. Passed 3-1 with Commissioner Jim Boff opposed.

• Accessory use for Shiloh Methodist Church to build a pavilion for gatherings on church grounds. The church submitted a site plan for the 30-by-40-foot structure it plans to construct.

• Request by Ryland Homes Inc. to amend zoning conditions on lot 54 in the James Creek subdivision, 4565 Hastings Drive.
Property is zoned planned unit development district. Passed 3-1 with Commissioner Jim Harrell opposed.

• Amendment of zoning conditions for Peachtree Residential Property Inc. and a variance to the unified development code for 3210 Sparling St. in Windermere. It is zoned single family community residential district.

All votes were 4-0 unless otherwise noted.
