Just a week past his first birthday, Trivikram Krandula might not remember what he did Friday night, but the firefighters who saved his life do.
Trivikram’s birth was one of three lifesaving rescues recognized during the annual Forsyth County Fire Department Awards and Promotional Ceremony on Friday, March 15, at the Forsyth County Administration Building.
Firefighters who responded to a childbirth call on March 7, 2018, found Trivikram’s mother in labor, and about to give birth. Trivikram had no pulse, and was unresponsive, so firefighters began CPR.
Trivikram survived, and on Friday his family was able to recognize the emergency workers who saved him.
Firefighters were also recognized for saving the life of a man who collapsed in his home and another who grabbed his chest and fell to the ground, pulseless, on a construction site.
Meanwhile, five firefighters were promoted to fire lieutenant, and 13 were promoted to fire apparatus operator.
Cody Ray Montgomery was also sworn in as Forsyth County’s newest firefighter.
