Forsyth County has a new leader in charge of its technology systems.
Mike Seymour was recently hired as the county government’s new director of information systems and technology. Seymour will be in charge of operational and managerial activities, will assist with the department’s strategic planning and will provide other departments with technical leadership.
“Technology continues to play an increasing role in the lives of our citizens and how they interact with their government,” Chief Information Officer Brandon Kenney said in a news release. “We are very pleased to have Mike, a seasoned IT professional, join our team and be a part of our efforts to continually modernize our technology to serve the citizens of Forsyth County.”
Seymour has more than 25 years’ experience in information technology and previously served as an account executive with Hewlett-Packard.
He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering technology.
