Also during Tuesday afternoon’s work session, the Forsyth County commission:
• Approved a request by Juvenile Court and Supporting Adoption & Foster Families Together to use the old Hansard House as a supervised visitation center for families that have been separated by court.
• Postponed moving forward on the next phase of the Big Creek Greenway until early February due to concerns of affected property owners.
• Granted a request by the fire department to hire BoundTree Pharmaceutical to provide pharmeceutical supplies and inspect equipment.
• Heard a presentation about a new zoning concept, the sustainable development district, which is being floated as a way to reward developers and constructors who design and build environmentally friendly facilities.
