Longtime city employee honored after retirement

Mayor Troy Brumbalow and Cumming City Council recognized longtime employee Louise Castleberry during the regular meeting on March 20. Castleberry worked for the City for 41 years, from Dec. 4, 1976 to Dec. 31, 2017, first in the Cumming Utilities Department and as the City Hall receptionist from 2002 until her retirement. A native of Cumming, she was also active for many years as a coach of various youth sports teams in the county, and her late husband, Marcus Castleberry, served as a city councilman from 1962-1964.
