McGinnis Ferry gas station to serve 2-day alcohol license suspension
Alcohol

A south Forsyth gas station will serve a two-day ban on alcohol sales on Monday and Tuesday.

City Food Mart, located at 7730 McGinnis Ferry Parkway, will serve a two-day suspension for alcohol with no pricing and no employee alcohol permit.

Forsyth County commissioners unanimously approved the suspension at their regular meeting on Thursday, Nov. 21.

The attorney representing the business said the employee violation was the result of an emergency scheduling issue.

For the pricing, he said a pricing point sticker from the distributor was not there and the owner did not have it for sale.

The item was previously postponed from the Thursday, Oct. 24 meeting.

District 2 Commissioner Dennis Brown had first considered a seven-day ban on the license before reducing it to two.
