Residents are invited to review the new preliminary maps that are part of the recent revision of Forsyth County’s flood risk information.
An open house is set for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday in the Commissioners Meeting Room at the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E. Main St., Cumming.
The session will provide an opportunity to learn how the updated maps can possibly affect building and flood insurance requirements.
Representatives from local government, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and Federal Emergency Management Agency will be available to field questions.
The maps are also available for viewing in the Forsyth County Department of Engineering, Suite 120 of the administration building.
