Forsyth County Commissioner Patrick Bell plans to hold a town hall meeting on Jan. 17.

Bell, who represents District 4, which covers much of north Forsyth, said the informal, periodic sessions are a way to stir conversation on issues important to the community.

“It lets people interact, tell me what’s on their minds and we can have dialogue on the issues,” Bell said. “It just gets me out there with the citizens.”

The meeting, which will be held at the Coal Mountain Park Community Building, will be an open question and answer format.

“We could talk about the budget, talk about our economy, talk about land use, trying to bring job and business investment to the community, park and rec, anything,” Bell said. “It doesn’t matter. Whatever they want to talk about.”

Bell noted that previous gatherings have drawn a good turnout, particularly when there are pressing issues.

All Forsyth County residents are invited and encouraged to attend.

“I’m looking forward to getting out there and seeing what people have to say,” he said.
