Two judges appointed to Forsyth County juvenile court

The Superior Court judges of Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit have announced the appointment of two judges for Forsyth County Juvenile Court.

The swearing in ceremonies for judges Christopher Willis and J. Russell Jackson will be 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 13 at room 501 in the Forsyth County Courthouse.

Previously, Forsyth County had only one full-time judge, but recently a second full-time position was established.

Jackson received a juris doctorate from the University of Georgia School and Law and has served as the full-time juvenile court judge and has been on the juvenile court bench for 19 years.

Willis earned his juris doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law and has practiced with a focus on criminal and civil litigation for the last 23 years. Since 2015, The Superior Court judges of Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit have announced the appointment of two judges for Forsyth County Juvenile Court.
