Forsyth County’s Zoning Board of Appeals welcomed its newest member this week.
Ed Kroell participated for the first time Tuesday night as the District 3 representative on the panel.
He is replacing H. Craig Nolen, who last month took a seat on Forsyth County’s planning board.
Kroell, who also serves as a member of the county’s public facilities authority, has a background in computer consulting and has lived in Forsyth County for 13 years. He said he’s excited about his new appointment.
“So far, the public facilities authority hasn’t had a lot to do. That group is brand new,” he said. “And with this, there’s some activity going on.
“It’s really kind of interesting to get around and see what’s being done around the county.”
Tuesday night, the five-member board unanimously approved variance requests from Ashton Atlanta Residential and W. A. William.
