A house fire late last week that resulted in the death of a 37-year-old man remains under investigation, officials said.Forsyth County Fire Capt. Jason Shivers said the man, who has been identified as Michael Smith, became trapped inside the house on Kennemore Drive off Union Hill Road late Friday night.“He was rescued by firefighters, but unfortunately suffered life-ending injuries and passed away at North Fulton Hospital,” Shivers said, noting Smith died shortly after being transported to the hospital. No other injuries were reported in connection with the blaze. Shivers said Smith was pulled from an upstairs bedroom.
