A 48-year-old man’s medical condition may have led to the crash on a north Forsyth County road that killed him early this week, authorities have said.

According to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s report, Ricky Charles Crow of Dawsonville was killed about 7 p.m. Monday when his 2001 Dodge Ram crashed into a tree off Doc Bramblett Road.

Crow was traveling west near Polly’s Bluff when his truck left the road, drove through a wooden fence and traveled about 140 yards before it hit the tree, the report said.

Crow was pronounced dead at the scene. According to Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Shelton, Crow had an extensive medical history that may have contributed to the crash.
