A Forsyth County man suffered minor injuries Wednesday when his vehicle crashed into a neighbor’s town home after hitting several other objects along the way.

Forsyth County Fire Capt. Jason Shivers said the man, whose name has not been released, was taken to Northside Hospital-Forsyth.

Shivers said the man “suffered some kind of medical condition” as he drove down Maple Valley Drive in a neighborhood off Hutchinson Road.

As a result, the Oldsmobile Intrigue struck two mailboxes, a phone junction box, fire hydrant, power box and knocked the light off a post before reaching the house.

Shivers said the collision did damage the house, but “we’re confident it’s not structural as much as it is cosmetic.”

The people who live there were not home at the time. Shivers said another neighbor reported the incident.

The driver told emergency medical personnel the last thing he remembered was shopping.
