A man and 2-year-old girl were hospitalized Friday afternoon after a two-vehicle wreck on Atlanta Highway near Cumming.

Forsyth County Fire Capt. Jason Shivers said the child was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite in stable condition.

The man, whose name and age were not available, was taken to Northside Hospital-Forsyth. Shivers said the man was in stable condition.

The wreck occurred about 5 p.m.

The van collided with a southbound Chrysler Sebring driven by the man. The child was a passenger in the van.

No one else was injured in the collision. The name of the woman who was driving the van has not been released.
