It’s been a record-setting nomination period for this year’s Best of Forsyth readers’ choice contest, and it’s almost over.
Readers can still nominate their favorite business, organization or person in categories like best business, school, workplace, restaurant and more from over 200 categories until midnight on Sunday, Sept. 30.
So far, more than 6,600 nominations for 1,662 different businesses, organizations and people have been made as of press time Tuesday.
Any businesses not nominated by Sunday won’t be eligible for the voting period that begins Monday, Oct. 1, at 12:01 a.m., and runs through Oct. 31.
The contest culminates with the Best Of banquet on Thursday, Jan. 31 at the Forsyth Conference Center at Lanier Technical College, where winners are named and honored at a banquet that has grown each year since the inaugural event in 2017.
Readers can nominate a person or business once per day at forsythnews.com/bestof. Nominations are moderated to ensure a business is in the correct category and that it is either located in or does a substantial amount of business inside Forsyth County.
