North Forsyth road closing to traffic

NORTH FORSYTH — Gravitt Road will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday.

According to Forsyth County government, the temporary closure will allow crews to upgrade the drainage system at a creek crossing just north of Spot Road.

Weather permitting, the road is expected to reopen by July 18.

During the closure, the detour route will along Twin Lakes Road. Look for the signs.

“We appreciate motorists’ patience during this temporary closure,” said John Cunard, the county’s director of engineering.
