Northside Hospital-Forsyth to offer free stroke screening Dec. 2

Northside Hospital-Forsyth is encouraging local residents of all genders and races to get tested to determine their risk for stroke.

On Saturday, the hospital’s stroke center is offering free screenings that will include a risk assessment, blood pressure reading, total cholesterol (HDL and ratio of total cholesterol to HDL), glucose, a limited number of carotid ultrasounds and a one-on-one consultation with a healthcare professional.

The test will be administered by healthcare professionals and will be offered from 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 2 on the third floor of the education center in classroom A, at 1200 Northside Forsyth Drive.

Appointments are required.
