Old Atlanta Park spray pad open for season

Now that school is out, a summer favorite can start.

The spray pad at Old Atlanta Park opened for the year on Saturday. The spray pad will be open for Memorial Day, along with Independence Day and Labor Day, before closing on Sept. 3.

Hours for the spray pad are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays until Aug. 1. 

From Aug. 2 to Sept. 3, hours will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Tuesdays through Fridays and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Daily admission is $2 for children over 1 year old and must be paid by cash or check. Adults entering with children are free as long as they stay on the dry deck.

Annual passes are $30 for individuals and $60 for families.

Between June 3 and Aug. 26, the pad is available for private rentals on Sundays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for $200. Rentals are limited to a maximum of 100 participants at the spray pad and pavilion.

Old Atlanta Park is at 810 Nichols Road. The park also contains a recreation center, playgrounds, two pavilions and a walking trail.
