Southbound traffic on Atlanta Road near Andean Chevrolet was completely stopped for about 20 minutes just after 1:30 P.M today after a Dodge Durango left the roadway and slammed into a parked van, injuring the driver.  

The driver of the Durango, who was not wearing his seat belt, was taken to the hospital for treatment of head injuries that resulted when his head hit the windshield of the Durango.  Officials said his injuries did not appear to be life threatening. 

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Cumming Police Department.
