One lane of Ga. 400 to close through weekend
400

SOUTH FORSYTH – Starting Friday night, one lane of Ga. 400 northbound will be closed for road work.

Contractors with the Georgia Department of Transportation will close one northbound lane of Ga. 400 between McFarland Parkway/Exit 12 and Peachtree Parkway/Exit 13 for work on an ongoing widening project.

The closure will last from 9 p.m. on Friday until noon on Monday, weather permitting.
Officials said in a news release that drivers should reduce speeds while in the work zone and workers and heavy equipment would be near the road.

One lane of the road was also closed for work on the project from Friday, July 29 until to Monday, Aug. 1.

The highway is currently being widened on each side, and the northbound lane to Exit 13 is expected to open by September.
