UPDATE, 6:45 p.m.: All lanes of Ga. 400 northbound are back open. Two men were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to Forsyth County Fire Division Chief Jason Shivers, while an elderly woman was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

UPDATE, 6 p.m.: One left lane of Ga. 400 northbound is now open, but traffic backups will likely last throughout the evening.

A multi-vehicle wreck involving an overturned dump truck in Forsyth County on Ga. 400 is causing major delays Friday afternoon.

The dump truck overturned on Ga. 400 northbound between the Keith Bridge Road exit (exit 17) and Browns Bridge Road, according to Cpl. Doug Rainwater, spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Ga. 400 northbound was closed at Keith Bridge Road, according to Rainwater. Traffic was being diverted from Keith Bridge Road to Browns Bridge Road back to Ga. 400.

Officials recommend motorists avoid the area if possible.

“It’s going to be a while,” Rainwater said.

“Several” vehicles were involved in the accident, Rainwater said, but there is no information about injuries at this time.
