ROSWELL — Police say one person has been killed and two others injured after a car crashed into a bus stop in northern Fulton County.

Multiple media outlets report the crash took place Thursday night in Roswell.

Roswell police spokeswoman Lisa Holland said the driver of the car was traveling behind a MARTA bus when she apparently swerved to avoid hitting the bus, striking three people who were waiting at the bus stop.

Holland said a man who was just about to get on the bus died.

A second person was seriously injured, and the third was injured too. The victims were taken to a hospital. Their conditions are unknown.

The investigation continues.
