Matt Clark story
Kari’s Journey Ride

When: 1-4 p.m. Sept. 29

Where: Silver City Farm, 5130 Dahlonega Hwy., Cumming, GA 30028

More information: Join us as we ride beside Kari and the Clark family through their battle with breast cancer. You can ride with any donation amount. There will be a festival-like atmosphere for families with live music, food vendors, silent auction, fun-zone for kids, as well as a firetruck on display compliments of Forsyth County Fire Department.

Why: Firefighter Matt Clark was at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Newnan on Aug. 27 with his wife, Kari while she underwent her weekly cancer treatment. When Clark stepped outside the cancer center and didn’t see his truck.

Clark, a third-generation firefighter, who had just worked a 24-hour shift at the Forsyth County Fire Department, walked around the lot, key fob in hand, until the reality of the situation became perfectly clear — his truck had been stolen.
