What: The Mentor Me North Georgia “Rock-n-Bowl” event where kids of all ages team up for charity. Bowlers compete with each other for bragging rights while helping to raise funds for Mentor Me, a local organization that serves youth ages 6 to 17 with one-on-one mentoring, after-school enrichment programs and group mentoring programs.

“This is a fun event that helps us raise awareness about our programs and needed funds to keep the programs going,” said Teresa Bath, development director. “We are seeing an increase in the need for mentors, particularly male mentors. This bowling event gives us an opportunity to talk to potential mentors as well.”

When: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12
