Norman’s Landing (click for map) annual spring ping pong tournament kicked off Tuesday night with singles competition.

Doubles competition will be tonight, beginning at 7 p.m. Teams of two wishing to participate can still sign up at the door. The entry fee is $15, with all play single elimination.

The annual event raises money for the March of Dimes, an organization restaurant owner Bill Norman has said is “full of great people.”

Norman’s Landing ping pong tournaments have raised more than $60,000 for local charities and organizations. This is the 26th tournament the restaurant has held since opening.

First-place winners receive gift certificates for Norman’s Landing. Participants receive a free T-shirt or hat for entering.

The restaurant is off Ga. 400 at Exit 13.
