Johns Creek Elementary School students spent the day volunteering May 13 at local charities as a part of the Johns Creek Live to Give Charity Day.
More than 190 fifth-grade students, teachers, parent volunteers and administrators helped clean and beautify two Forsyth County parks, stocked local food pantries, sort donations and create meal bags for families in need.
Several local charities received assistance from the volunteers, including the Abba House Thrift Store and Meals by Grace.
The Live to Give Charity Day was organized by Cheryl Cunningham, Carol Tallis and Allison Bronk and resulted in about three hours of service from each of the more than 190 volunteers.
