SUSPECTS SOUGHT IN ARMED ROBBERY

SOUTH FORSYTH – Authorities are asking for help from the public in identifying and locating three suspects involved in an armed robbery at a south Forsyth Wal-Mart.

One of the three suspects, described only as a black male, was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun as he entered the Wal-Mart on 2395 Peachtree Parkway on Wednesday, Oct. 7 just before 11 p.m., according to Pete Sabella, a spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

The male was described as wearing a white and blue surgical mask.

He reportedly confronted employees who were collecting money from cash registers and supposedly discharged his firearm into the floor before leaving the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to surveillance footage and witness reports, he was observed fleeing in a black sedan, which was possibly a Toyota, driven by a black female.

A third suspect, also a black female, was observed inside the store during the incident, “possibly acting as a lookout prior to the robbery occurring. She left the store immediately after the robbery” in a black car.

The suspects described match similar incidents that have occurred at other area Wal-Marts in Georgia, Sabella said.

There were no injuries in this incident.

It is not known whether they are still in the area, but there is no immediate danger to the public, Sabella said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Tyler Sexton at (770) 781-2200.
