CUMMING — One person received what were described as non-life threatening injuries in this rollover crash that ended about 11 a.m. Tuesday at West Courthouse Square and Main Street in downtown Cumming.

According to authorities, the male driver began losing control of the Chevrolet S-10 Blazer he was driving about a block east of the wreck, crossing the road several times.

Along the way, the vehicle traveled onto the sidewalk beside the old Forsyth County Courthouse, running over a park bench.

The Blazer then continued west on Main Street, jumped the curb again, knocking over a pedestrian crossing signal.

It then overturned against the traffic signal support pole while toppling a street light.

It was not immediately clear what caused the driver, whose name has not been released, to lose control of the vehicle. Cumming police are handling the investigation.
