CUMMING -- A local tax preparation company has a unique way to save on tax costs.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, a local H&R Block owned by Judy Pair will host a food drive at the non-profit Abba House at 5465 Bethelview Road.

Those who bring in 10 items will be given a 10 percent discount on tax preparation fees from the company.

Items will be accepted from three categories.

The first category includes canned foods, peanut butter, salad dressing, condiments, crackers, cookies, drinks, boxed potatoes and other food items.

The second category is for toiletries: paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, baggies, aluminum foil and plastic wrap.

Laundry soap, bleach, fabric softener, dish soap, toilet bowl clearers and similar items make up the third category.

Abba House is a 15-month minimum residential ministry for at-risk or in-need women.
