CUMMING — The Forsyth County Tea Party Patriots Alliance Tax Day Rally tonight is being moved from the Forsyth County Courthouse to the Cumming Fairgrounds due to the threat of inclement weather.
While the rally portion of the event likely won’t have as much of an impact without traffic passing by to see the signs, there was concern over possible lightning, according to Bob Frey, alliance co-chairman.
Frey added that the group will make it work and still get the message out.
The event’s scheduled speakers, all Republicans, include David Pennington, Georgia gubernatorial hopeful, U.S. Senate candidate Derrick Grayson and Tom Knox, who is running for the District 26 state House seat. The event’s keynote speaker is U.S. Rep. Tom Price.
The rally begins at 5:30 p.m.
