Teenager critically injured in north Forsyth wreck
FCSO

A 19-year-old female is in critical condition after a tractor trailer hit her “small SUV” on Browns Bridge Road (Hwy. 369) in north Forsyth shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday.

The wreck, which occurred by Waldrip Road, did not injure the driver of the tractor trailer, who is a male, according to Forsyth County Fire Division Chief Jason Shivers.

“Each vehicle had one occupant each,” he said. “It was an entrapment, and the female suffered multiple injuries due to impact on the driver’s side door and had to be extricated by the fire department.

“She was ground transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.”

A medical helicopter was originally asked to respond, but emergency responders chose to transport her by ground.

Shivers said the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Specialist Unit worked the scene Thursday afternoon.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office was not available to relay information about the cause or other details of the accident.

TSU investigates serious and fatal crashes. It was not immediately known whether either party will face charges, which would be announced pending an investigation.
