GAINESVILLE - Authorities seized more than $62,000 worth of drugs at a South Hall home, including brownies and popcorn infused with THC, the component in marijuana that creates a high.

Agents arrested Kyle Scott Foster, 30, of Flowery Branch, after a search Monday on Pond Mill Court. He was booked Monday in to the Hall County Jail, where he remains.

According to the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad, agents searched a home in the 5000 block of Pond Mill Court. MANS agents were assisted by Oakwood Police and the Georgia National Guard Counterdrug Task Force.

According to MANS Lt. Don Scalia, Foster had 6 pounds of marijuana in 35 separate bags. Authorities also reportedly found “232 vials of THC-infused liquid, 316 grams of butane hash oil, 24 packages of THC-infused popcorn, 72 packages of THC-infused brownies, 162 grams of psilocybin psychedelic mushrooms, 6 Adderall pills and a sawed-off shotgun.”

“I had never seen the THC-infused popcorn,” Scalia said. “That is one thing that I was just not expecting.”

The estimated street value of the drugs is $62,370.

Scalia said investigators believe Foster “ordered it from Colorado.”

“We’re still researching that to try to find out exactly where it came from,” the lieutenant said.

Foster was charged with possession of marijuana and psilocybin with the intent to distribute, possession of amphetamine and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.

Scalia said a bag of the THC-infused popcorn would retail for $30 per bag, while the brownies would cost $85 per bag. The vials, which are put in the electronic cigarettes, retailed around $40 per bottle, Scalia said.
