Toddler burned by boiling water, airlifted to Grady

HALL COUNTY -- An 18-month-old child has been airlifted to an Atlanta hospital after suffering burns to 30 percent of its body, authorities said.

Hall County Fire Services said the child was “reportedly burned with boiling water” on Plum Creek Drive in East Hall. Further details were not available.

The child suffered second-degree burns to more than 30 percent of its body, Fire Services reported.

The child is being transported to Grady Hospital in Atlanta. The Hall County Marshal’s Office and Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
