The Trail of Terror returns this year with even more haunts.

“It’s going to be a lot bigger and a lot longer,” said trail organizer Heather Rose. “It’s 2 acres, so it winds around the woods ... it’s totally changed from last year to have people get a new scare and a new thrill.”

The trail will again take place at the Old Sharon Schoolhouse at 3604 Old Atlanta Road in south Forsyth.

Shadow Realm Productions is in charge of the haunting, and students from Lambert High School’s drama department have volunteered to perform again this year.

“We’ve had such a huge success that a lot of people called us from last year,” Rose said. “We’ll be having some other haunters that are adults that wanted to jump in on the fun.”

Proceeds from ticket sales will go toward restoring the old schoolhouse, which eventually could house gallery space for local artists, a performing arts stage, dance classes and craft rooms.
