A pair of retailers have announced they’re coming to a soon-to-open mixed-use development in south Forsyth.
On Thursday, officials announced plans for OAR Finer Goods, a men’s accessories and lifestyle retailer, and Society Boutique, which offers popular brands, handmaid pieces and more, at Halcyon Forsyth, which is currently under construction and expected to open this summer.
For OAR, the Halcyon location will be the company’s second after a first in Blue Ridge. The store is a compliment to its sister store, Canoe, which has been already been announced for the development. OAR will offer popular lifestyle brands and men’s products ranging from shirts to cigar humidors to leather wallets and more.
“Following the great response OAR has received in Blue Ridge, I’m thrilled to bring an eclectic mix of lifestyle goods and quality accessories to Forsyth County’s exciting new shopping destination,” said Lynn Kemp, founder of OAR and Canoe, in a news release. “My goal is to fill a void in the market and offer the products men enjoy in an environment specifically curated for them. OAR is where style and sophistication merge.”
The store will fill a 930-square-foot space near Canoe and CMX CinéBistro.
“We are assembling a thoughtfully harmonized retail mix that prioritizes innovation and community at Halcyon,” said Phil Mays, principal at RocaPoint Partners. “OAR is the perfect characterization of this combination, delivering a new-to-market concept with a strong emphasis on amplifying creative brands that deviate from the norm and provide a sense of exclusivity.”
Society Boutique’s third location will open at Halcyon after success at locations at North Point Mall and on Hayes Bridge Road in Alpharetta.
Officials said the Society Boutique offers “a mix of quality clothing, accessories, home décor and gifts,” including crafts made by Artisans and jewelers around Georgia.
“I’m thrilled to continue working with a mix of local, women-owned businesses and popular designer brands to bring one-of-a-kind gifts and quality, stylish clothing to Halcyon,” said Tanya Noegel, owner of Society Boutique. “Through years of experience in the boutique and retail world, I’ve seen the value in combining the right merchandise with an overall positive atmosphere to create an unforgettable shopping experience for customers, and I’m looking forward to bringing this to Halcyon.”
The 1,400-square-foot store will sit between Canoe and Nina + Leigh and will be adjacent to Cherry Street Brewpub.
“At Halcyon, one of our goals is to deliver a mix of retailers that capture the sense of local pride that residents have in Forsyth County, but also have the national brand names consumers desire,” Mays said. “Society Boutique’s commitment to offering products that are sourced from local, women-owned businesses and distinguished brands will be a great addition.”
Once completed, Halcyon will include 480,000 square feet of office and retail space, a trailhead for the Big Creek Greenway, about 230 homes, open space, 460 apartments, two hotels, a parking deck, a movie theater, office space, a dog park and other retail.
