The Anderson's Sunflower Farm announced it has closed for the 2019 season after just six days.

The popular farm usually stays open for about 12 days, depending on Mother Nature, and was planning on closing on Sunday, July 21.

This year’s early closure was due to “record-breaking crowds and heavy rain,” according to a post on the farm’s Facebook account.

The sunflowers began to droop, which led to Dennis Anderson, the owner of the farm, making the decision to close earlier than expected.

The farm will be filled with sunflowers and will open once again in 2020.
